On holiday with mum

Mum has been on leave with me for the past 10 days. We have been very busy. We have been doing lots of gardening to making the garden look nice for summer, so its been lucky the weather has been nice. I have helped dig in the compost and put in new plants. I have also learnt when we are in the front garden to stay on the garden and not wander off.

One day mum took me for a walk on the Malverns and then we had lunch in the pub with her friend Kate. Here is a picture of me in the pub garden.

Another day we took a packed lunch and walked all the way from North Hill to Pinnacle Hill and back. It took us 3 hours.

As you can see from the map its a very long way but I had a good time. I met some nice dogs to play with. I saw some big cows but stayed away from them as they were a bit scary.

On the way to Pinnacle Hill we walked over all the hills.

This is me at Worcestershire Beacon.

And this is me at the top of Summer. Hill

On the way back we walked around the hills and also walked round a quarry.

When we got back to St Ann's well mum said I could get in for a drink and a cool down.

I was very tired by the time I got back to the car.
Its been nice having mum at home but I'm glad she is back at work now as I need a big sleep to recover.

Bronze Good Citizen

I have taken my test and now I am a Kennel Club Bronze Good Citizen.

For my test I had to do a recall, go carefully though a gate, walk to heel with just mum and with other dogs around too, wait next to mum whilst she had a conversation for a minute, be brushed and show the examiner that I could show my mum my teeth and throat. I also had to do a one minute stay, which I did twice, so another dog could have a go.

The examiner said I was very well behaved and that mum is an excellent handler.

I am now practicing for my silver and gold tests which I am taking on 25th March.
